Magazine branding
This project is about branding a new magazine line for local artists. Students were to take a form of art that interests them and create an intriguing cover design that would interest local artists to purchase. They were told to choose a cover image, create a magazine name, and add necessary subtitles. These pieces were created in InDesign.
RECENT PROJECTS
Line Tone & Texture
This project explores the layers of drawing that happen when rendering a scene. We start by studying Line and perfecting the layout and grid standards for the perspective or vignette. We talk about different line weights and types. From here we move to tone. Student use their line drawings as a guide to shade with soft led weight pencils in a gradient fashion. Finally texture is explore and different hatch patterns are used to communicate three dimensional depth.
